Ellie, Alice and the team at Homegrown catered our wedding in October and were amazing! Right from the first meeting they listened to us and made sure they caterered to our (quite complex) food needs perfectly! The mini chip butties were a highlight of the day and all of our guests commented on how brilliant the food was. They were quick to respond to all of our questions and always had solutions that enhanced the day. They made us feel so comfortable working with them and would 100% recommend them for any event.

Homegrown recently provided the catering for our wedding and we would highly recommend them. We chose Homegrown because we were wanting a non-traditional main meal and their sample menus offered so much variety.
We had canapés, a 3 course lunch, teas and coffees and then evening food. Everything was of a really high quality and presented beautifully. Our guests were all really impressed with the food and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying it so much.
In the lead up to the wedding Ellie and Alice were so friendly, helpful and really accommodating with some of the complex dietary requirements we needed to cater for. They were really patient and understanding with menu changes and made the process as simple as it could be.

Our wedding caterers and we couldn’t recommend them enough. We discovered them at a venues wedding open day and there food samples were quite clearly in a different league to competitors. There extensive menu made it very tricky to choose however they allowed us to pick and choose exactly what we wanted, even gave us an option to create our own starter!! We chose to use them the night before the wedding for a hog roast (pre-wedding party) and again, they absolutely nailed it. No fuss, just arrived at the venue and did there thing. The food was out of this world and all our guests have commented on how good the food was at our wedding!!! A special shout out to Ellie who looked after us from the start and was absolutely incredible on the day of the wedding. You are a star!!!! Thank you

We’re really grateful to the whole Homegrown team who made our (gay) wedding reception truly special and memorable for us and all our guests. From day one when we met Ellie and Alice over Zoom you took time to listen to who we are and what we wanted, to understand us and offer your suggestions to help us prepare our menu and the all-round reception catering experience. You were really generous with your time, and willing to consider alternative options, also gently suggesting what wouldn’t work for our numbers or the venue or that might risk the overall quality.
It also gave us a lot of confidence knowing that you knew the team at our reception venue so well, so that between you all you could organise us and take the pressure off us regarding how things would be set up and flow.
On the day you brought a calming prescence to the pressures of trying to think about what was going on and what needed remembering. It helped having a couple of quiet moments just with you, a glass and a nibble between the hubbub of the full party.
Guests were very impressed with the food – particularly commenting on the best lamb they’ve had and the sausage rolls, the surprisingly light chocolate delice (‘usually such puddings are too rich’) and the cheese cake! That was photographed almost as much as we were! It was especially intriguing to overseas guests that hadn’t seen anything like it! The food was fantastic, as was the friendly, efficient service from your waiting staff – particularly given some guests took it upon themselves to swap places. You dealt with that quietly and quickly with no fuss.
We’re so happy with the wedding celebration you helped bring to life.

From the moment we started working with Ellie, we knew we were in safe hands! Immediately understood the relaxed style we were looking for – and was an absolute delight to work with!
We were given numerous options of canapés, starters, mains and deserts to choose from at the tasting afternoon, all of which were mouthwatering and we felt spoilt for choice.
When it came to finalise our menu for the day, Ellie and her team gave us some helpful advice – and pulled it together quickly and efficiently, and Ellie even reached out to our generator contractor to ensure everything was in place to make sure the day ran smoothly!
The food on the day was excellent, all of our guests were delighted! both the front of house and back of house teams were friendly, helpful and went above and beyond for our guests.
We couldn’t recommend the team at homegrown enough, you made our wedding day a breeze! Thank you so much!

Homegrown recently catered for our wedding and we couldn’t have wished for more perfect food. We wanted quite an informal dining experience so we ordered afternoon tea sharing hampers, and all of the guests commented on how amazing they were. We had a variety of dietary requirements at the wedding too including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free and all were catered for beautifully and very thoughtfully. Would 100% recommend. Words can’t really do justice to how grateful we are for having Homegrown cater for our wedding (April 2024). With my wife being a newly diagnosed coeliac, she was nervous about finding a caterer who would put her at ease for the wedding food. Alice, Ellie and the team put us at ease from the start, saying that they would be able to cater for the whole wedding menu being gluten free. We thought the gluten free Yorkshire pudding request might be a tough ask, but Alice went above and beyond to ensure the recipe was perfect, so much so that our guests didn’t even know any different. This was the same for other elements of our menu that needed to be tweaked to enable it to be gluten free. Alice even managed to source some gluten free pastry for one of the canapés that we had.
The food was absolutely sublime, and we’ve had so many guests commenting that it’s some of the best wedding food they’ve ever tasted. The “Nice and Toastie” van for our evening food couldn’t have been a bigger hit. It was something so unique, and the toasties themselves were delicious.
We also had Homegrown cater for our evening before the wedding, and they did a full English breakfast for us the morning after. Again, the food was wonderful, and having that pressure off, knowing everything was in hand just helped the whole weekend to feel relaxed for everyone.
Ellie’s attention to detail throughout the whole planning process really put us at ease from the outset, and she was so lovely to work with in the run up to, and on the day itself. The rest of the staff who were there throughout the whole weekend were wonderful, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped to make the food for our weekend just perfect.
We couldn’t recommend Homegrown Hospitality any more if we tried.

Homegrown catered our wedding in October and from the first contact were absolutely brilliant! Ellie, Alice and the team took their time to talk us through the different options and we had a fantastic tasting session with them at their base where we could fine tune our menu.
Contact in the run up to the big day was always excellent – and they were so reassuring and accommodating when it came to any little requests that we sent their way. The actual day was out of this world – our guests said (repeatedly!) it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted, and the service from the entire team was absolutely first class throughout. Everything from the food at the reception to the wedding breakfast was perfect, and they put on a wonderful bar with a massive selection for our guests.
We can’t thank the team enough and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a lovely Yorkshire catering firm.

They showed genuine enthusiasm for the menu we proposed, and helped us refine it to be something that would work amazingly well on the day. They had a fantastic selection of canapes to choose from and great ideas for post-wedding evening food, and were always incredibly flexible to any specific requests we had. If we’d needed it they have an extensive and diverse set of offerings of both canapes and wedding breakfast menus, but seem to genuinely thrive on personalising each menu for the people celebrating. They achieved everything we asked for and more. Everyone we spoke to after the wedding commented on just how amazing the wedding food was – and it was worlds away from the often predictable options served at weddings. Genuinely cannot recommend them enough. We’re considering a divorce so we can remarry and have them cater a 2nd wedding.

I couldn’t be more pleased with Alice & the team at Homegrown Hospitality, and the level of service they provided for our wedding was worth every penny. From the initial phone call to discuss options, right through to the day of the wedding nothing was too much trouble. Alice was happy to discuss and make changes to the menu as often as needed and was so accommodating with lots of (very tricky!) dietary requests. On the day, the team were so accommodating and made sure to track my husband and me down and make sure we both got to enjoy plenty of the canapés in-between photos and chatting with guests, which we were very grateful for! Many, many guests told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had! The sharing boards were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Alice and team catered a gala party for Eureka! The National Children’s Museum. The food was absolutely delicious and the service faultless.
We loved working with them. From the very beginning, they ensured every aspect of the catering was tailored to our needs, including the table decoration and crockery – we really appreciated this attention to detail. Alice was always on hand to answer any questions or make slight changes to plans.
As for the food…all we heard were rave reviews!! Our guests loved the informality of the grazing stations and being able to sample multiple dishes…it’s always so hard to choose what you want when it all looks so mouthwatering. The presentation was sensational.
On the night, their staff were friendly and professional, and nothing was too much trouble. It was great to be able to relax and know everything was in safe hands.
They def went the extra mile for us and we look forward to working with them again in the future.

Hi Alice and all the team. We had an amazing day and a major part of that success was created by you – the pre planning, food and service were second to none. The whole atmosphere was relaxed, warm and friendly just as we wanted it to be . The food was delicious and all this with a power cut in the middle of the final bit of cooking!! So professional … There was lots to eat and diets catered very well for. Nothing was too much trouble Thank you!

“Without a doubt out wedding was the best, most amazing day of our lives. We wouldn’t have changed a thing.
A huge part of this is down to Alice & Martin and their team at Homegrown Hog Roast. From the moment we got in touch with them we knew we didn’t have to look any further. Alice listened to our vision of the day, understanding totally our requirements and worked it all confidently into the plan. Our guests raved about the food – the Hog Roast wedding feast and the Ploughman’s Supper went down an absolute storm. Not to mention the Pimms reception and canapés! It was reassuring to know that all the food was sourced locally and mostly from suppliers whom Alice and Martin know personally.
Hosting the wedding at home was no mean feat for us as a family, as we had never come close to organising anything on such a big and ambitious scale. Martin and Alice were a complete god-send. They gave my dad advice whenever he asked – this was hugely reassuring, and greatly helped reduce stress levels! Alice allowed us to completely relax on the day, with nothing to worry about except enjoying ourselves!
Throughout our six month wedding planning journey there were many times when we thanked our lucky stars that we had chanced upon Homegrown Hog Roast; absolutely worth their weight in gold. Because we were so impressed, Alice and Martin were also booked for my dad’s 60th birthday BBQ – that was a great success as well!
